I reached the target!!! Thank you very much for the support of everybody in this challenge.
The $ 10,000 is now part of the UNICEF program for Guatemala.
As per the school you saw in my pictures, “Canton de los encuentros” in Coatepeque I sent a personal donation to them of $ 1,000 and a picture book through my friend Saul Merida who is going to deliver the present on December 8th.
I printed few copies of the picture book and they are a testimony of my trip and also of my...

You can see now that the picture book prepared to complete my campaign of UNICEF it’s uploaded.
It was a challenge to select the pics among the almost 3700 that I took during the trip, I choose black and white because I think that sometimes color pics tends to be distractive and you can't see the objects or themes in depth...I like the final result.
I’m focus now doing the final selling’s and I believe I will have my target of fundraise (10,000 $cad) finished for November.

I’m back to “normal” and now focus in completing the fund raise.
Unicef Gala will be on October 17th and Unicef will auction the painting from Nicasio (that I brought from Argentina) together with one picture book. This will add to the money collected so far, and hopefully leave me closer to the goal.
The book is pretty much done but takes more time than you can imagine selecting 80 pics from about 3700 that I got and trying to get a consistent story out of it.
When you start adding...

The trip is over........after more than 18000 Km..... 46 days.... 670 liters of gasoline...and 13 countries; the bike and me will leave Argentina back to Canada today.
I never felt at risk or afraid, the main challenge I found was myself. Battling my own fears was the most difficult part of the trip....fear that most of the times was rooted in my ignorance or prejudices; I'm glad they didn't hold me back.

Houses are build of “adobe” a brick made off clay, sand and “paja” which are the leaves of a local plant. The construction is typical of dry areas and cheap but gives to the place an homogeneous color as it use the local soil as raw material and is solid and fresh.
